Joanna Wolfarth

Dr Joanna Wolfarth is an art historian, lecturer and writer who has long been fascinated by how we make sense of our worlds through making things.

 

A specialist in Southeast Asian art history, she currently teaches at The Open University and SOAS University of London. Her research on
Cambodian culture has been published in numerous academic journals and books. She now also writes on history, feminism, arts and culture. She is co-editor of the forthcoming volume ASIA-ART-ACTIVISM and the winner of the Urban Tree Festival Writing Competition 2022.

 

Her first book, MILK: An Intimate History of Breastfeeding, was released in January 2023 by Weidenfeld & Nicolson.
