Mick Finlay

Mick was born in Glasgow and grew up in Canada and England.

He now divides his time between Brighton and Cambridge, where he works in a Psychology Department, teaching and conducting research into the psychology of social interaction, persuasion and political violence.

Before becoming an academic, he ran a market stall on Portobello Road, and has worked as a tent-hand in a travelling circus, a butcher’s boy, a hotel porter, and in various jobs in the NHS and social services.

 

The Arrowood novels have been translated into twelve languages, and have been shortlisted for the HWA historical novel of the year and longlisted for the CWA Gold Dagger Crime Novel of the Year.
