Siobhán McSweeney is an actor and writer originally from Cork, Ireland. She trained at Central School of Speech & Drama and Ecole Philippe Gaulier. She has worked at The Abbey, NT, RSC, Royal Court, Royal Exchange, Donmar Warehouse, and once performed on a moving train (twice on matinee days). Her screen work includes Porters (Dave), Collateral (BBC), No Offence, LondonIrish (all for Channel 4) and of course Derry Girls.

Kevin Barry bullied her into writing for Winter Papers 5, and then she bullied Sky into commissioning a comedy pilot. Now she has notions she can write. She would like everyone to know she isn’t as nice as Sr Michael in real life.
